Design is a funny word. Some people think design means how it looks. But of course, if you dig deeper, it's really how it works.
Welcome. I’m glad you’re here
Instead of giving you all the usual interior design gobbledygook, I want to talk about something much more important –– YOU. After all, my business exists because my focus is all about MAKING SPACE FOR YOU.
When working on a project, I always ask myself this: How can I improve the space AND save you time and money?
Here's how I see it:
–– You shouldn't waste your time. With decades of experience, I know instinctively where the weak areas are and what can be done to correct them. I will give you the tools and information you need to help you get things right from the start.
–– You don’t want to pay more than you need to. I believe in fair pricing for design work and sourced materials. I’ve got your back.
–– You want to love your design – we're not done until you do. That’s the only way this can work. You're the one who will be living in your space. If you love it you’ll tell others about it. That way we both benefit.
–– You want to feel your space is about YOU. It's not about me. The best interiors are those with character and aura. They're layered with the stories of those living there. That's what I care about.
–– You want your design to last – I am not motivated by brand names or the latest fads – instead I focus on character, quality and lasting design.
You're in great hands. I've been doing this for 20 years.
Layout & Color expert
At In Form Design I focus on two things:
• To improve your space — manipulate the space so that it feels right and works better for you.
• To save you time & money — give you the tools you need to make smart choices and get it right from the start.
In the process I hope to reduce all the waste I see every day that comes from bad choices.
It starts with a conversation. Let's talk about your space.
Insider tips and bits that will get you going…
“…It was a painless installation – from the design, to planning, solving all our problems and always having an open line of communication, reporting back during the entire project – it was a fantastic journey…”
You obviously care about your space.
You want to FEEL GREAT spending time there.
You want COMFORT and QUALITY that will look good and last.
You also want to know that you're making choices that will be a GOOD RETURN ON YOUR INVESTMENT.
Whether you're remodeling or building new, there are endless things to consider. It's costly and the choices you make are often permanent. An experienced designer will coach you through the process and save you a good deal of time, money and headache.
If you're on a budget — as most of us are — you cannot afford to get it wrong.
Let's do it right from the start.

Making Space for you
(Picture source) Nothing refreshes a room like a lick of paint on the walls, right? YES! Except when you get it wrong. Because there is nothing more depressing – after all the agony, the money you spent and the drama to get it done – to end up with a room that looks worse than […]
(Source) Last week I guest-posted this article on Decorated Life. Thank you, Christine, for posting it on your blog. We recently moved countries, and I want to tell you what I did just after we moved into our new house – but I’m interrupting myself with something about the Far East first. Did you know that […]
(Picture via Tempo da delicadeza) Whenever the subject of choosing a sofa enters the realms of our home, my husband reminds me of a former colleague who said that he wants a blind man to test and recommend his sofa – someone whose opinion will not be tainted by a thing as frivolous as looks. Well, […]
There’s never enough time. Most of the time there isn't enough space either. I haven’t yet figured out how to stretch time but I do know how to make the most of every square inch.
Life's too short to be complacent. Let's do something outrageous...
